Parents/Guardians:
This is an important email to notify you that the CAHSEE test will be given to ALL 10th graders on Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th. Additionally, 11th and 12th graders who have not yet passed one or both sections of the CAHSEE will test those days as well.
If your student 10th grade student is sick one of the testing dates, make-up testing will be on Tuesday, March 13th (ELA) and Wednesday March 14th (Math) respectively.
Students must pass the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam) in order to earn a diploma from San Francisco Unified School District and the State of California. The test is broken up into two tests: English Language Arts (Tuesday) and Math (Wednesday). Teachers will be spending some time in classes moving forward to prep students for the exams.
The tests will begin at 8:00 AM sharp each day, so please take extra care to make sure that your student is on time to school those days. The testing window each day is from 8:00 - 12:20 and the proctors must wait for each students to be present to begin, so the sooner each student arrives to school, the longer amount of time students will have to test.
Students will be grouped by their English classes to take the test and will find out from their English teachers who their proctor will be. Proctor lists will be posted around school and sent out to families in a later email.
